Description Prismatic Compass with Stand/Surveyor Compass This Prismatic compass is accurate with a resolution of about 1/2 a degree. Both the prismatic compass and tripod come with canvas cases. The Prismatic compass can be threaded onto the lightweight surveyor’s tripod with a ball and socket head using standard 3/4 inch x 24 threads. The Prismatic compass measures 4 3/8 inches (11.1 cm) in diameter, 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) thick, and weighs one pound, 3 ounces (560 grams). When mounted on it’s tripod, the height of the Surveyor compass is adjustable from a minimum height of 12 1/2 inches (31.7 cm) tall is a maximum height of 21 inches (53.3 cm) tall.
