Description A substantial and beautifully made rectangular silver card case of two parts: a lower section as the main container and a separate upper section as the well-fitting lid. The case is chased overall with a floral pattern of stylised coriander flowers, stems and leaves on a background textured with a myriad of tiny chased dots. The four narrow sides show a simple linear repeat of flower heads on leafed stems. One of the two broad sides has a regular arrangement of flower heads and scrolling foliage, framed by a rectangular border of small stylised acanthus leaves and a fine line of beading. The other broad side is also chased with a scrolling floral pattern framed by a similar border but, at the centre of the pattern on the main section, is a running lion and, similarly, on the lid section is a rearward-looking, running gazelle. The case is made of a good gauge of silver throughout and is of purity standard 0.925 (sterling) or better. Visiting/business cards and credit cards fit neatly inside.
